MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
In the fall of 1777, Philadelphia – the Revolutionary capital at the time – was seized by the British and occupied for nine long months, with Independence Hall serving as a prison for American prisoners-of-war. Join us as we recreate the dark days of the British occupation with Occupied Philadelphia, the Museum’s annual flagship living history event. The Museum will offer guided walking tours, special programming, and family-friendly activities exploring what life was like in the city while British forces controlled it. The living history interpreters will also be occupying the neighborhood.
Historic Lewes Society: Harvest of Discontent 1773
It is the autumn of 1773 and Lewes is still a part of King George III’s dominion, but tensions are growing that test the sinews of empire. Even as Lewistowners in this seaport community prepare for the coming winter and concern themselves with the mundane happenings of life on the imperial fringes – the improvements on the lighthouse at Cape Henlopen, the launching of a new schooner named LIBERTY, controversy surrounding the recent General Assembly election – greater discontent is simmering. As a part of the ongoing crisis of taxation and representation, the Parliament in London passes the Tea Act, creating a monopoly on one of the colonists’ most beloved imports.
Revolutionary Germantown Festival - Cliveden
The 17th Regiment of Infantry will be representing soldiers involved in the Philadelphia Campaign and the Battle of Germantown. Civilians following the army and Philadelphia residents will be telling the experiences of being caught in the fray.
FRONTIER CULTURE MUSEUM, STAUNTON, VIRGINIA
Exploring the global nature of the AWI at various sites at the FCMV. The 17th will be inhabiting the Irish Farmstead portraying a recruiting party in 1774. Members will portray the recruiting party, recruits, and local civilians, who have various reasons to visit the farm and see the army.
FORT TICONDEROGA, TICONDEROGA, NEW YORK
Join Fort Ticonderoga for this two-day battle reenactment and witness the epic 1777 siege of American-held Ticonderoga. As General Burgoyne tightened the hold on Ticonderoga, see how American soldiers and artillerymen held the line in the name of Liberty. Watch the story unravel around you as the roar of muskets and cannons erupt followed by a hurried retreat that salvaged the remains of the American Army.
THE BIDWELL HOUSE, MONTEREY, MASSACHUSETTS
The weekend will include multiple lectures focused on laundry, health & wellness,
military discipline, and provisioning the army. Three tactical demonstrations (two on Saturday and one on Sunday) will be conducted for the public, but additional “for us by us” skirmishing may occur around the available (192 acres) Bidwell House property.

Minute Man National Historical Park preserves the significant sites, structures and landscapes associated with the opening battle of the American Revolution in Lexington, Lincoln and Concord, and also The Wayside: Home of Authors. Three days of events at Minuteman National Park depicting British soldiers and local civilians.
HANCOCK HOUSE, SALEM, NEW JERSEY
This coming March marks the 245th anniversary of the Hancock House "Massacre". This event will be a living-history portraying the local civilians, militia and British units involved in the Salem occupation. There will also be a guided tour of sites associated with the events of 1778.
